My
Story
Why did I start this business?
I have always been curious why countries around the world are hesitant to talk about their counterfeit banknotes. Are they embarrassed? They shouldn't be- as all banknotes are vulnerable to counterfeiting.
I firmly believe the Issuing Authorities could make better decisions for their banknotes if they learn about the materials and techniques that counterfeiters use, this includes knowing what your current threats are and developing a strategy to deter those counterfeiters.
I am lucky enough to have examined everything from simple photocopies to very sophisticated counterfeits that are almost undetectable.

World Renowned Expert: Kerre Corbin
Kerre Corbin is a Counterfeit Expert working as an independent consultant in the banknote industry. She provides guidance and training to Central Banks, Police Agencies, commercial banks, and security industry companies on counterfeiting issues. Banknote industry conferences have coveted her expertise and enthusiastic presentation style, which she undeniably enjoys.

Kerre was a counterfeit expert with De La Rue for over 5 years. She was responsible for the forensic examinations requested by De La Rue customers as well as the counterfeits from Northern Ireland and Scotland. She also applied her years of experience to the analysis of new security features and designs. Kerre has provided counterfeit detection training to over 100 law enforcement agencies, government institutions and the banking organizations throughout the world.

Previously, Kerre was a Counterfeit Specialist with the United States Secret Service Criminal Investigative Division in Washington, DC. She conducted forensic examinations on U.S. Treasury obligations that involved authenticating genuine Federal Reserve Notes and classifying counterfeit banknotes. She worked for the U.S. Secret Service for over 12 years.

Kerre loves to travel and experience new cultures. She is an avid gardener and enjoys the fruits of her garden through the wonderful meals made by her husband. She adores her 2 cats and is obsessed with the hedgehogs that visit the feeding station she set up for them (America doesn’t have wild hedgehogs!).
